Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible as a whole -- the Old Testament and the New Testament-- is the revealed and inspired Word of God, which is inerrant in its original manuscript. Therefore, the Bible is ever relevant and is to be the only authoritative standard of living for all believers of every age and nation.

The Triune God

We believe that God is One, eternal, most holy, and gracious Creator, Sustainer, and Provider of the whole universe and everything in it. The Triune God--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit -- is the uncreated three persons equal in essence, power, and glory. He is sovereign in terms of salvation and judgment of human race.

Man and Sin

We believe that man, male and female, is created in accordance with the image of God, and crowned with glory and honor.  Man is given mandate to fill up the whole earth, cultivate it, and care for it. Unfortunately, man falls into sin, and is separated from God. Having been bound by individualism, man is incapable of living out his nature as a created by God, and is powerless to save himself.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the true God and man, the Savior, and the only Way of salvation for all human race. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, and was perfect in his sacrifice and love. He died on the cross, rose from the dead in the resurrected body, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. He becomes the Great High Priest for all believers, and the only Mediator between God and man. He is the King of all kings.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the living God, who convicts man of guilt with regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates believers, stays within them, sanctifies, empowers, and in accordance with His free will endows believers with spiritual gifts to witness, fellowship and ministry for the building of the body of Christ.

We believe that man can only attain salvation by grace and receive justification through faith in Jesus Christ, not by man's effort or works. In the salvation of God, the image of God in man is restored, and he is enabled to live a life marked by responsibility, commitment, and love, before God and man.

We believe that the Church, as the salt and the light of the world, is the gathering of all believers from all ages and nations. It is the Body of Christ, which is holy and catholic, with Christ as the Head of the Church. By means of worship, teaching, sacrament of baptism and Holy Communion, the Church proclaims the Kingdom of God, and serves God in holiness, and through mission and evangelism reach out to the neighborhood and society.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the firmness of the second coming of Jesus Christ in the last days, when God's people is gathered, transformed them according to the likeness of Christ, the Judge of all human race, the living and the dead. In that second coming, believers who are already dead will be raised, and all who believe will enter into eternal life, and all who do not believe will enter into eternal death.
