• How to register?

• Where is the Retreat location?

  • The retreat is at Harris Resort, in Barelang Batam.

  • All the sessions will be inside the Resort. Attendees should not leave the Resort area anytime during retreat.

 

• When is the Retreat?

  • 5-7 Sept 2024 (Thursday - Saturday; 3D2N), this is during kids’ school holiday.

 

• When is the Registration end date?

  • From now until 4th Aug 2024

 

• When is the Early bird's end time?

  • Until 2nd June 2024

 

• How to make the payment? Do I need to complete payment by the time I register?

  • You can make full payment, or make a deposit payment of $50/ pax first upon registration and full payment on a later date.

  • Preferred payment via Paynow to 9887 4611 (IEC Retreat 2024), please put your full name (contact person) in the Reference to help us identify the payment.

  • You can also make cash payments. Please contact Darius / Deby to assist.

 

• What is included from the cost per pax?

  • Retreat materials

  • T-Shirt (kids)/Polo shirt (adult) - 1 pc per person

  • Accommodation and meals (Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner when in Batam)

  • 2 ways Ferry ticket (SG - Batam)

  • Land transport to and from resort

  • *Kids below 5 years old is free

 

• I am still confused about how to fill in the room selection, can I ask for sample / assistance?

  • Here’s the sample of 2 adults (parents) and 1 child:

    • Adult Room Sharing

    • Adult Room Sharing

    • Kids 5-11 (no extra bed)

  • This means parents and child share 1 room, without extra bed (you can request 1 King size bed). Total cost (before 2nd June for early bird) will be $200+$200+$55 = $455, which can be paid in full, or deposit first (3*$50 = $150)

  • You can also ask Darius / Deby / Usher team to assist during registration.

 

• Will the retreat’s session be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia / English / Mandarin?

  • All sessions will be in Bahasa Indonesia, except for children’s VBS (Vacation Bible School) will be in English

 

• What time does the retreat session start, and end each day?

  • It starts in the morning after breakfast (around 8AM) until 8:30PM (for 1st and 2nd day; because we will check-out and returns to Singapore before evening on 3rd day)

 

• Is there any free time outside of the retreat’s sessions in the resort?

  • There will be some break time in between the sessions, but everyone should stay within the resort area. More details on the sessions will be available at a later date.
     

• What is Vacation Bible School (VBS)?

  • A special curated series of lessons for the kids age 4-12 years old to learn more about Bible

• If my kids are below 4 years old, can my kid join VBS?

  • Sorry, the VBS lessons are curated for kids aged 4-12 years old (on Sep 2024), who are independent without parents supervision.

  • However, our team will accommodate a special section for kids below 4 years old at the main hall (adult session).

• Vacation Bible School, how much is the additional cost?

  • The price is included when parents register with the kid/s.

  • For 4 years old is included with paying adult and there is no additional fee.

• What should the kids bring during VBS?

  • comfortable & appropriate clothes (preferable in pants) for worship 

  • spare clothes (if required)

  • shoes

  • Bible for primary schooler only 

  • water bottle with their own name

  • Preferably all is packed inside their bag

• What do the kids and family do during their free time?

  • Yes, we can stroll around the beach and see the sea. There are also several swimming pools around. Hence adult supervision is strongly required.

  • Mosquitoes repellents (hotel will provide Autan lotion)

  • *clean towel will be provided by resort

• Pick Up and Drop Off during VBS
  Parent’s consent that the kids are under parent’s responsibility. The kids must be sent and picked up by their own parents at every session hence parents are not advisable inside the VBS room.
